To be perfectly honest, I have no idea what direction I want to go in this project. I have some knowledge on music theory and composition from highschool but given the randomness of the sounds and tones, I think it would be difficult to compose a traditional piece. However, I do think I want to make something related to video game genres that I usually play. If I were to go with this approach, the theme would likely be centered around combat music similar to what Dark Souls and Hollow Knight would have. My other idea is illustrating a path through a horror scenario like certain areas in Resident Evil. Although I suppose that neither of these are exclusive so I could combine them to a certain extent. In terms of a horror track, it would theoretically be easier to create since many sounds we have currently play into that atmosphere of music. I still need to figure out what kind of scenery I want to fill this into because having a concrete setting tends to make composing music easier. I think the most difficult part of this will be making something that sounds like music without the ease of having music notes available. I can attempt to change the pitch of certain sounds to achieve certain notes but that would be a lot of work. Creating a shepard's tone would be a huge success. For now I want to focus on what kind of tune I can create with the sounds we have available to depict a tense situation which will likely draw inspiration from horror games.
